1. Starting a project;
Creating a Cohousing project takes dedication. Here are some overview steps:
1. First commit to doing your part in creating a project. Group member's main role is to build "community" by finding others that want to join the group.
2. Talk to people you know to find out who else may be interested. Also let me know where you are creating your project. I may have some people on my data base that may want to join your group.
3. Determine a specific area for finding a site.
4. Be realistic about the price of homes in a new project. Since this is a custom neighborhood with extra amenities the prices will be a bit higher than your local market for similar size homes.
5. Get "development professionals" to help find, secure and develop a site. There are some professionals listed on the CCN website under resources.
6. When your group has formed then list the group on the Canadian Cohousing Network website: www.cohousing.ca.
